Directions for Immigrants is a no cost career service centre that helps internationally educated professionals secure professional employment and gain accreditation. We work with professionals in any occupation in any industry. Our services are at no cost as we are funded by the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada.
We have been operating since 2004.
How do we help? We provide clear, accurate, up-to-date information on job search and accreditation, we help clients create an action plan to find professional employment or pursue accreditation and we offer one-on-one career coaching, workshops and licensing study groups.

Acknowledgement of Territory
We are located in the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.
We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.
The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
