Don’t miss our next pharmacy exam preparation study groups starting August 2020

Becoming a pharmacist is no easy task, particularly for internationally educated pharmacists. The accreditation process is long and rigorous, and candidates are expected to pass three licencing exams in addition to additional training that may be required. Directions for Immigrants has a history of providing excellent services to our internationally educated pharmacists. Not only do our career coaches help our pharmacy clients navigate every step of their career journey to the point of becoming employed, but to date, we have supported our clients in writing 500+ exams with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC). Furthermore, our study groups have helped 200+ clients become fully registered pharmacists in Canada.

The reason for the incredible success our study group candidates achieve is attributable to several factors. First, our career coaches have extensive knowledge of the PEBC accreditation process and stay up to date with any changes. Second, our facilitators who are all licensed pharmacists, most of whom are internationally educated and have gone through the licensing process themselves, share their expertise and experience with our study group clients. They are able to shed light on the challenges they experienced, as well as the practicalities of being a pharmacist in Canada. Third, the combination of adequately assessing and preparing our clients for the challenge they face, having a cheerleader in their career coach to provide moral support, and the provision of excellent study materials and mock exams, cumulatively creates a recipe for success for the disciplined and ambitious client.

Every year we offer two sets of study groups covering all three of the PEBC exams to prepare clients for the bi-annual exam dates. Despite the changes and relative uncertainty around exam dates as a result of the effects of COVID-19, our second round of study groups are scheduled to start in early August as per the following:

August 12 – December 23, 2020
9:00 am – 1:00 pm

August 6 – October 29, 2020
9:00 am – 12:30 pm

August 6 – October 29, 2020

**We want to encourage those individuals who hope to write the 2021 PEBC exams but who have not yet received the results of their document evaluation application due to COVID-19 delays, to call our office and speak to a career coach for guidance. We are here to support and guide in any way we can.

Interested individuals would need to meet with one of our career coaches, to determine their eligibility.
