When we go on holidays many of us like to try the local cuisine, learn about the customs and local way of life, check out the non-touristy attractions and spend time with the locals. As you become more settled in Calgary you might be feeling that you haven’t had a chance to fully integrate into life in your new home.
This group will be of value to you if you if you have an intermediate to high-level of English fluency but still find you may struggle to keep up with local conversation and chit-chat, especially in groups of native Canadian English speakers.
Be prepared for activities that include following local podcasts and news, discussing controversial issues, exercising idioms and collocations, and giving presentations.
